Over the 24th of July weekend we went fishing at Trial Lake. We went last year and had a great time. The water was much higher this year so there wasn't much of a beach. We met my dad and sister, Tonya, and her family up there too! We had a great time fishing and riding the Rhino! It's always fun to go camping!

Michael practicing his casting while Alex practices his throwing!

It rained off and on all day so we had to hid out in the trees so we wouldn't end up drenched.
Me, Alex and Michael. Michael didn't like to wait in the trees.

Emily and Aunt Tonya hiding from the rain in the trees.

Sun's out! Get your poles in the water! Grandpa and Alex fishing. Alex loves his new
Spiderman fishing pole. He got really good at casting it in the water.

Alex's first catch! Alex, Daddy, and fish!

There were a lot of beautiful wild flowers. Emily wanted to pick them and take them to Grandma who was sick at home.

After lunch Grandpa wanted to teach the kids about gun
safety and let them shot Great Grandpa Jacobs gun. Michael, and Grandpa.

We got to ride around in Grandpa's Rhino. It's a lot of fun! Emily, Michael, Daddy, and Alex.

We rode around until Michael fell asleep! Fishing and playing is hard work!

After dinner we went back to the lake to try our luck at catching some more fish! We had great success! Mike, and Michael caught several fish, of course we let them go!

Emily caught a fish with Grandpa too! We had to keep hers! Darn it!

As tradition goes Alex fell in the lake while playing on this chair. He fell in head first, of course, with the chair on top of him. I threw the chair so I could hurry and pull him out. He was worried about who was going to get the chair out.

"Fishing is not fun when you get pushed in the lake." He was a good sport about it and walked all the way back to the truck with the water squishing in his shoes and didn't even complain once. The next morning the whole tragedy was forgotten and he wanted to go fishing again!
Thanks for a great weekend!!
