This last weekend we went to
Parowan for the Iron County Fair. We had a blast at Nana and Papa's house. Our good friend Megan and her kids came with us. On Saturday we played dress-ups. The kids had a lot of fun dressing up in the great
costumes from the playroom.

Michael's wearing a doctor's outfit with his favorite glasses. He thought the glasses were hilarious.
Kaden's favorite was the wigs. He found a matching green wig with long hair.

Michael's a cute french man.

Alex would only put on the cowboy hat and a cape. Michael loved the hats and glasses.
Kaden makes such a cute little girl! We all made such a fuss over how cute he looked so he would put on wig after wig and make us laugh so hard.

Papa and Nana in the kitchen. Nana is a great cook and throws the best parties!

Another of the kids' favorites was the pedal go-carts. Even Daddy took the go-cart for a spin around the driveway.

We went to the fair and pet the animals at the petting zoo. Here's Emily, Michael, Cameron, and Alex petting the goats and sheep.

We went to the carnival were the prices were outrageous but the kids had a lot of fun. Michael and Emily loved the Tornado ride.

Alex,
Kaden, and Cameron rode the car ride. "What you
lookin' at?"

The next day after church we ate delicious peaches from Papa's orchard. Cameron loved the peaches and anytime Papa walked to the orchard Cameron would follow him and be right at his side until Papa peeled the peach and Cam ate it all. He would shove complete half peaches and practically swallow it whole to make sure and get the rest of the peach. He was so cute!

The kids played
Badminton with Papa and horseshoes.

Then Papa took us to the gap where he showed us the dinosaur footprints. Emily is pointing to a little dinosaur footprint.

Alex is looking at a huge footprint while Papa is teaching us a lesson on conglomerates.

We also saw the pictographs. Just think the people who made these pictures lived a hard life and they must have thought that whatever they were writing about was very important to take the time to chisel it into this rock. I wish I could read it.

Monday we went to the parade where they had beautiful cars,

horses,

marching bands (Alex is watching),

even snowmobiles (
Arcitc Cats of course)

And what parade would be complete without the fire trucks! Alex, Daddy, Michael, and Emily are watching the noisy trucks roll past.
After the parade we went back to Nana and Papa's house for a great barbecue. We had the infamous hot dog that Megan looked so forward to, salad, baked beans, and a wonderful Oreo cake. The boys begged to eat Oreo cake for 2 days.

Finally, we get to enjoy the cake! Yummy!
Kaden thought it was spoon licking good!

Open wide Alex! It's delicious!

We had a great time and everyone was sad to go home!
Thanks for a wonderful time!
Seriously!?! You put up my cake eating picture!?!?! I'm at a loss for words, one day I will get you back! ONE DAY!! :) Thanks for the great weekend. I enjoy spending time with your family. You guys are the best!! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteLooks like tons of fun. I didn't know you were down that way - we could have "run" by to say hi!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of Kaden totally looks like a girl - that is too funny. That will be a good blackmail picture for one of his dates in the future!
Cute pics! I love Kaden in the wig!
