Disney World

Our first day in Disney World we happened to get there just in time for the parade. Then we ran into Snow White and The Fairy Godmother. Who knew the Fairy Godmother would be there.

First we went to Fantasy land and rode the carousel, Peter Pan's ride, Dumbo, and Small World.

We went to frontier land the went on a safari ride where we saw the elephants playing in the water. The kids loved the elephants!

The kids loved the Buzzlightyear ride! You get to shoot the Z's for Zurge, Buzz's enemy.

Alex was so excited to see Buzz! It was just our luck he was wearing his Buzz undies and proceeded to show everybody his matching Buzz.

Everywhere we went there were character's cut out of the bushes. It was always amazing to me the details and work that must go into the bushes alone.

Emily's favorite ride was the fast train. We rode the train twice the first day. The haunted house was a little scary for Alex and he kept asking to get out of the place. We drove the cars in tomorrow land. It was one of Alex's favorite. He couldn't drive in a straight line and kept hitting the metal rail in the middle. He would hit the rail so hard he practically fell out. He would laugh and laugh so hard. Of course we also had to ride the tea cups twice. We had to convince Grandpa to ride the second time because the kids say he spins it the best. Poor Grandpa, going around in circles makes him sick. By the end of the first day we had ridden almost every ride in Magic Kingdom. Thank goodness for our magic button that would get us on the rides a lot faster. Right before we left we went to toon town where Mickey and Minnie have their houses. There was also a circus tent where we met the princesses and fairies.

Emily asked if it was the real Minnie Mouse. "Of Course it is, but she looks a little plastic." Emily said. "Not like the princesses."

The only fairy I knew of was TinkerBell. Imagine my surprise to see other fairies there. I had no idea there were other fairies. I guess there is a whole fairy land. (We haven't seen the TinkerBell movie) Here is Iridessas and Silvermist.

Michael was so shy he would barely stand by the fairies. He definitely wouldn't take his hands out of his pockets or talk to them. Tinker Bell kept trying to talk to him. She eventually gave up and stuck her tongue out at him.

The princesses were all so nice, and of course the real ones. They were very pretty and a little intimidating for the boys. Alex kept jumping around and Michael wouldn't say a word.

We stayed out so late the first night on the way out of the park, by luck, we timed it just right to see the light parade. It was amazing to see so many lights in so many colors light up the whole parade. All the people and floats were beautiful with all the colorful lights changing colors. We had a great time!
