I feel overwhelmed in trying to recap our wonderful experience with Make A Wish! There were so many things to do and see. It will take me forever just to write about our week stay. I thought maybe I would just write a little about each day, however a little may turn into a lot so beware!

We stayed at a beautiful 90 acre village called Give Kids the world. This village is reserved only for wish organizations. It opened in 1989 and 93,000 families have visited from all 50 states and more than 65 countries around the world. Everyone that works here are all volunteers, which means they want to be here. Each week more than 1,200 volunteers donate their time to the village. They were all so wonderful, nice and accommodating.

Dino Putt miniature golf course

Amberville, has a huge game room with video games, pool tables, model trains, boats to drive, and even a train to ride around the golf course.

Julie Safari Theatre comes complete with a full concession stand.

What resort wouldn't be complete without an ice cream palace open all day until 9:30pm where you can get whatever your sweet tooth desires.

Of course there must also be a Castle of Miracles complete with a carousel and day spa (for little girls). In the castle there are over 50,000 stars where each wish child gets to place a gold star on the ceiling. Every child that visits, sibling included, get to make a magic pillow that brings then sweet dreams.

There is a playground called Matthews playground that is patterned after the famous game Candyland. It has giant lollipops, candy canes, and of course giant colored squares.

Where does everyone eat? The Gingerbread house of course! The House has 27,000 peppermint candies in the tables and 1,500 dolls that line the top of the walls that have been donated from all around the world. There is also a Boston Market where you can order your lunch or dinner and eat outside or have delivered to your villa.

There's also Keaton's Korral where twice a week horses are brought in for the kids to ride in the morning. After a couple of times around the Corral the kids are then given an official certificate and cowboy hat.

But that is not all, Oh no that is not all. Here is the Happy Harbour fishing dock. Yes, I said fishing dock. Don't worry if you didn't bring your pole or bait some will be provided.

I can't forget, transportation around the village is a train that drives around all day taking you wherever you want to go. In addition to the train is a cookie car that drives around all day stopping to offer you a cookie whenever you are out. Lets just say it's a good thing that we had to walk around Disney World all day for 7 days or I wouldn't have been able to fit on the plane on the way home.

Please keep in mind that everything at the village is free of charge and based on donations and volunteers. So THANK YOU!! to all those who donate and volunteer. It's never easy when life throws you a curve ball and all of a sudden life isn't as perfect as you expect. When your small child is diagnosed with a life threatening disease everything changes from then on. We are so blessed to have a wonderful doctor who has been able to keep Em's life stable!! We thank our Heavenly Father everyday for the time we have with our children and hope to have forever!!
